Purpose of the Programme
To train qualified intermediate staff who can work in the relevant departments of accounting and tax offices, institutions and organisations. For this purpose, when the students graduate, in addition to all commercial, economic, cultural knowledge and skills in business life, information is given to the students to adapt to the task that they can undertake in departments such as general accounting, cost accounting, bank accounting of any business in a short time.
During the two-year accounting education, students are taught basic accounting and necessary general knowledge and courses in the first year, and vocational courses including specialised accounting are mainly taught in the second year. When the four-semester learning process is completed, students have the ability to recognise the basic concepts and documents related to accounting, to comprehend the principles related to the preparation of balance sheet and income statement from financial statements, to edit financial statements in computer environment, and to use package programmes related to accounting. The students of our school also do their compulsory internship in the sector covering 30 working days at the end of the second semester.
The aim of the programme is to train students to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience to follow the changing conditions of today, to adapt themselves to them and to establish an accounting system in a business from beginning to end.
Employment Areas of the Programme:
Graduates of the department working at the desk in the office can work in the accounting departments of public and private sector organisations, finance and tax offices or they can open their own accounting office. Accounting professionals can work in public institutions, private workplaces or open their own workplaces after meeting the legal requirements. They have job opportunities as pre-accounting staff in public and private sector organisations. In addition, after completing the necessary internship training, they can take the "Certified Public Accountant and Financial Advisor" documents and open an office.
Accounting professional staff is a person who is affiliated to a workplace or who performs the profession of freelance accountancy on their own behalf or contributes to the accounting management of public institutions and organisations.
