Program Educational Objectives
The aim of our Accounting and Tax Practices program is to train qualified intermediate workforce needed by accounting and tax-related businesses, accounting and finance departments, and businesses operating in the public and private sectors. By providing students with fundamental knowledge of accounting and its functions and importance, we aim to equip them with the skills to follow relevant legislation, prepare preliminary accounting procedures and record records for a business, both on paper and electronically, prepare financial statements, analyze the financial structure, perform procedures related to the business's taxation process, participate in decision-making within the organization, and utilize financial values.
Program Content
During the two-year accounting program, students are taught basic accounting and necessary general knowledge and courses in the first year, and professional courses, primarily covering specialized accounting, are taught in the second year. Upon completion of the four-term program, students will be able to understand the basic concepts and documents related to accounting, grasp the principles of preparing a balance sheet and income statement from financial statements, prepare financial statements in a computerized environment, and use accounting packages.
Program Goal
To train students equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experience to keep up with today's changing conditions, adapt to them, and establish a complete accounting system within a business from start to finish.
Occupational Areas
Graduates of the program who work desk jobs in offices can work in the accounting departments, finance, and tax offices of public and private sector organizations, or they can open their own accounting offices. Accounting professionals can work in public institutions, private workplaces, or, after meeting legal requirements, open their own businesses. They have job opportunities as pre-accounting staff in public and private sector organizations. They can also obtain the "Certified Accountant and Financial Advisor" certification and open an office after completing the necessary internships.
Accounting Professional is a person who works as a freelance accountant in a workplace or on his/her own behalf or who contributes to the accounting management of public institutions and organizations.
